Join Agape House for the annual Teddy Bear Fun Day, free community safety-themed day for families in the Steinbach region (June 3, 2017).

Agape House had a Paint Night FUNdraiser at Smitty’s Restaurant, Steinbach on May 8, 2017. The event was a sold-out success (61 women) and raised over $900 for Agape House shelter children’s program! Featured in the photo is local artist, Colleen Watchorn and an example of the completed painting. "The painting is a take on impressionist artist Monet’s famous garden – we chose the image to represent how our work is a bridge to safety and wellness for our clients" stated Executive Director Pam Hadder.

“On Monday, April 24, 2017 Agape House was pleased to receive four large buckets of flowers and greenery from Floral Philanthropy, Winnipeg.  The gorgeous blue delphiniums and assorted greens are brightening the offices and residential spaces of our shelter property and have been a huge morale boost given the recent spring snow storm! These flowers were from an event at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and we were pleased to be one of the charities selected to receive the donations.”

December 6th Vigil in Steinbach MB - Despite treacherous travel conditions, Agape House staff held their annual vigil for the National Day of Remembrance and Activism for Violence Against Women at Barkman Park in Steinbach. After the ceremony with community members, shelter staff, board members and RCMP, attendees enjoyed homemade treats in the Steinbach United Church.

November was Domestic Violence Awareness Month.  The shelters across the province are collecting PJs.

Parkland Crisis Centre in Dauphin had a very successful PJ drive.
